When JFK Was My Father

It's 1963, and 14-year-old Georgia Hughes has been sent by her uncaring parents from Brazil-the only country she knows-to a boarding school in the United States. With her world turned upside down, there are only a few things she can cling to: a moonstone given to her by a special boy named Tim, and a picture of President Kennedy. Georgia retreats into a fantasy world, until the day that Tim unexpectedly appears at the boarding school, and wants her to run away with him. She hates school and her parents-but can she trust a boy who has suddenly become a mystery to her?
