A story set in Harar, a Muslim walled city in Ethiopia. The story is of a young girl on a pilgramage to a holy man in the city who does not accept her because of her white skin. She ends up staying in the city, growing up, and becoming more Ethiopian than anything else, before finally moving to Canada during the country's revolution.
